Season and Nitrogen Fertilization Effects on Yield and Physicochemical Attributes of Strawberry under Subtropical Climate Conditions

چکیده
Strawberry (Fragaria ×ananassa Duch.) yields in winter production regions are greatly affected by early-season nitrogen (N) fertilization, especially when pre-plant N is not applied. In Florida, United States, applying at high rates during the early season a common fertilization practice, but little known about its impact on fruit quality. The objective of this study was to examine and effects yield physicochemical attributes ‘Florida Radiance’ strawberry grown under subtropical climate conditions. Field experiments were conducted west-central Florida over two growing seasons. Plants treated with three (1.12, 1.68, 2.24 kg/ha/d) 21 days vegetative growth stage. Thereafter, all plants same rate 1.12 kg/ha/d until end season. Increasing increased marketable 15% 18%, it had no significant effect any quality attributes. Contrarily, similar both seasons, whereas showed remarkable seasonal variations. higher solar radiation lower temperature, RH, rainfall development period, berries redder anthocyanin accumulation pH, acidity, soluble solids. These results suggest that has greater than which complex dissect because interaction between environmental use appears be an effective strategy improve profitability production. Importantly, technique minimal risk compromising or fertilizer efficiency.

Nitrogen is a crucial nutrient affecting plant growth and development and its addition to the soil (as chemical or organic form) influences plant growth characteristics. One experiment was conducted as a factorial based on RCBD with two Chrysanthemum cultivars (‘Fred’ and ‘Angel’( and two N-fertilizer sources [Urea (750 and 1500 g/ha and Nitroxin 7.5 and 15 L/ha] used as fertigation method besi...
متن کاملNitrogen effects on yield, quality and K/Na selectivity of sugar beets grown on clays under semi-arid, irrigated conditions
In a four-year experiment, five nitrogen rates (0, 60, 120, 180 and 240 kg N ha-1) were tested over irrigated sugar beets grown on clays, underMediterranean conditions, in centralGreece. There, sugar beets are commonly grown under water shortages, high temperatures and high soil Na concentrations. Contrary to previous reports, N rates did not affect significantly population density (as asse...
متن کاملEffect of different levels of nitrogen, vermicompost and Nitragin on morphological features, greenness index and yield of strawberry under greenhouse conditions
The use of organic and biological fertilizers is important for achieving sustainable agriculture, reducing the application of chemical fertilizers and the production of healthy crops. A greenhouse experiment was carried out to study the effects of vermicompost, Nitragin, and nitrogen on some growth parameters of strawberry (Fragariaananassa Duch. cv. Aromas). Treatments were arranged in a facto...
